Aerospace and defence manufacturing startup Jeh Aerospace has raised $2.75 million in a seed funding round led by General Catalyst along with participation from angel investors like Pratyush Kumar and Dwarkanath Srinivas.
The funds will be deployed to build infrastructure, fuel growth, and prepare a robust team to transform the supply chain experience for global aerospace customers, Jeh Aerospace said in a statement to Entrackr.
The company intends to build a team of 100 people in the next six to nine months.
Co-founded in 2022 by Vishal Sanghavi and Venkatesh Mudragalla, Jeh Aerospace offers manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain management solutions to the global aerospace and defence industry. It specialises in aerostructure, aero-engine components and assemblies, meeting rigorous quality standards.
Commenting on the funding, Jeh Aerospace’s co-founders Vishal Sanghavi and Venkatesh Mudragalla said, “This is the most challenging of times and also the most exciting of times for the global aerospace and defence industry. We have found strong traction with global customers, helping them improve delivery and supporting their growth needs. We are excited about our upcoming journey and thank all our investors for supporting our tryst with entrepreneurship.”
It works on a hybrid model where some of the parts are manufactured in-house.
According to Jeh Aerospace, it aims to solve global supply chain constraints plaguing the industry. The company provides ready manufacturing solutions to the A&D industry through its scalable manufacturing facilities and vetted supplier networks that meet or exceed global quality standards.
Jeh Aerospace claims to be operational in the US and Indian markets and has served 100 companies to date.
