Offside, a social app for cricket enthusiasts, has raised $150K in a pre-seed funding from 100X.VC.
The proceeds will be used in Offside's growth trajectory, enabling it to expand its user base to 500,000 in the coming months, the company said in a press release.
Founded by Shivam Jha and Rishav, Offside provides cricket enthusiasts with a space to socialise with fellow fans. The app offers a comprehensive suite of features, including live match updates, interactive discussions, vibrant communities, curated cricket content, and an array of free to play cricket contests and games.
The startup claims to have already demonstrated traction, garnering 50,000 users during the recent World Cup. The app's user base has exhibited engagement, with a daily engagement time exceeding 30 minutes for the past three months.
Early-stage VC firm 100X.VC has backed several startups this year. The list includes Roopya, 50Fin, Minifeel, Vodex, ThinkMetal, Luzo, Dr Mantra and abCoffee among others. Launched on a cohort-based investment model, the fund had announced the first batch in December 2019 with 20 early-stage startups.
