Cybersecurity firm Sequretek has secured $8 million in a Series A round led by Omidyar Network India along with participation from Narottam Sekhsaria Family Office and Alteria Capital.
The Mumbai-based company had previously raised $7.2 million led by Gujarat Venture Finance, ICBA and Unicorn India Ventures.
The fresh funds will be utilised to drive higher adoption of cybersecurity solutions for businesses across globe, scale its global operations, and go-to-market strategy and increase market share & profitability in the small and medium businesses segment, Sequretek said in a press release.
Co-founded in 2013 by Pankit Desai and Anand Naik, Sequretek offers protection to businesses from cyber breaches through the AI-powered Percept Cloud Security Platform (CSP).
According to Sequretek, its offering empowers businesses to protect their critical assets, and detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time, whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Through the partnership with Sequretek, organisations can take control of their cybersecurity posture and navigate the digital world with confidence, while simplifying security.
The other major players in this space are Dataprise, The VP Techno Labs International, TSAARO Solutions, HIKEQA, Bug Hunters and others.
