Agricultural technology startup Suind has raised Rs 5 crore in its seed round led by Sunicon Ventures along with participation from Zetta Farms and other angel investors.

Agricultural technology startup Suind has raised Rs 5 crore in its seed round led by Sunicon Ventures along with participation from Zetta Farms and other angel investors.

The company plans to use the funds to accelerate technological advancements, enhance the scalability of its AI-driven crop protection platform, and expand its market penetration in both Indian and European markets, Suind said in a press release.

Co-founded in 2020 by Kunal Shrivastava and Kevin Kleber, Suind is a drone technology startup which empowers agriculture through real-time crop monitoring and treatment. The company aims to create impact on crop protection by integrating drones, computer vision and data analytics.

According to the Bengaluru and Zurich headquartered company, it specialises in developing low-power vision based AI for drones that operates autonomously in challenging plantation terrains like tea, rubber, fruit orchards. 

Other notable players in this space are Aarav Unmanned Systems, BharatRohan, Dhaksha Unmanned Systems, and DroneAcharya Aerial, among others.
