Purpose-led e-commerce platform Meolaa has raised $2 million in its seed round led by Turbostart.
The proceeds will be used in hiring and expanding its India operations, Meolaa said in a press release.
Founded in 2022 by Ishita Sawant, Meola offers sustainability-focused products in the areas of beauty, home improvement, baby care, apparels and others. The startup claims to have boarded 750 brands across and others.
The Mumbai-based startup has a portfolio of over 1500 brands and an assortment of over 125,000 products spanning six categories. Since its launch in January 2023, the startup claims to have seen 100% MoM growth in orders, users, and GMV.
Last year, the startup secured pre-seed funding of $165K from a clutch of investors such as Dale Vaz (Swiggy), Nikhil Vore (Sixth Sense Ventures), Sachin Bhartiya (Lighthouse Funds), and StrongHer Ventures, among others.
