Sploot, a pet-parenting mobile app, has raised $800,000 in its second round of seed funding led by Info Edge’s subsidiary Redstart Labs and few angel investors.

The firm plans to expand its services, including dog walking and grooming, quality and ready-to-feed dog food, Sploot said in a press release. It also plans to go on a territorial expansion.

Started by Delhi-based Garima Kaushal and Arnav Sahni, Sploot is a community-led digital platform for dog parents to engage and learn from each other. Its app provides informative content about canine health, behaviour and nutrition.

The startup claims to have over 100K downloads across the Play Store and App Store. Sploot has delivered over 80,000 meals across the city and offered over 100,000 dog walks in the Delhi-NCR region alone.

Info Edge has been associated with Sploot since its first round of seed funding, where it invested $500,000 in 2022. Along with this, Sploot is also backed by Akshay Chaturvedi, Yatish Talvadia, Sanjay Singh and Mukul and others participating via GripInvest.
