Puzzle gaming studio has secured $2 million in its seed funding round led by Lumikai fund along with participation from General Catalyst.

The proceeds will be utilised to create innovative puzzle games and building casual mobile gaming studio, QuriousBit stated in a press release.

Co-founded in July 2023 by Ramakrishna Reddy Y L and Shubham Joshi, QuriousBit creates high-quality casual puzzle games for mobile platform. The company intends to build deep game mechanics, with a rich narrative & creating a personalised gaming experience.

According to the Bengaluru-based startup, it aims to emulate the playbook puzzle games across sub-genres in the casual gaming market which are untapped and undeserved. QuriousBit will focus on rich narratives, personalised gaming experiences alongside innovation on core metas coupled with nuanced distribution strategies.

Lumikai has backed some of the leading games companies including Bombay Play, Loco, Elo Elo, Studio Sirah, Supernova and others. The gaming and interactive media fund recently launched its second fund targeting a $50 million corpus from global investors. The fund will be deployed in pre-seed to series A investments into gaming and interactive media founders.
