JustMyRoots acquires The State Plate

Intercity food delivery platform JustMyRoots has acquired a foodtech startup The State Plate (TSP). With this acquisition, The State Plate plans to fortify its presence in the packaged intercity food market across India.

Earlier, TSP had bagged funding from Lenskart’s cofounder Peyush Bansal, during Shark Tank. It also raised funding from Antler India, and  former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly in July.

Under the terms of the deal, TSP's founders Muskaan Sancheti and Raghav Jhawar will integrate into the Justmyroots team. They will continue to spearhead and manage the TSP brand, bringing their innovative vision to complement JustMyRoots' expanding portfolio.

The company plans to strengthen their expansion in the international market to make Indian regional food available to the large Indian diaspora living across the world.

Founded in 2021, TSP is a regional packaged food and grocery delivery startup which specialises in delivering a wide range of state-specific food products and groceries, from snacks and sweets to staples and beverages. It offers food and ingredients from different states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, and Assam.

In the intercity food delivery space, JustMyRoots competes with Zomato and comparatively smaller player Tastes2Plate among others.
