Flipkart Ventures to invest $500k in Algomage

Artificial Intelligence post-production startup Algomage is raising $500K in a pre-Series A funding round led by Flipkart Ventures.

The company plans to use the proceeds to expand its sales and marketing team, Algomage said in a press release.

Founded in 2021 by Anand Rathi, Algomage automates post production like image selection, editing and sharing. The startup provides professional AI tools and services for digital imaging to enterprises, retail industry, and photographers. According to the company, its services are being used across large enterprises, concerts, theme parks, conferences and others.

The Mumbai-based firm claims to offer automated image processing and delivery via a suite of interconnected machine learning modules – Algocull, Algoedit, and Algoshare which are designed to cut short post production time and deliver the images real fast. As per Algomage, it cuts down image delivery time by 8X and boosts image visibility by 15X.

On Monday, Flipkart Ventures announced that it will back five startups including FlexifyMe, Algomage, Castler, NimbleBox.ai, and ReCircle as part of its Flipkart Leap Ahead accelerator programme. FelxifyMe already raised $1 million from the venture along with participation from GSF, iHub Anubhuti, and Chandigarh Angels (CAN), among others.
