Cybersecurity startup Zeron raises $500K in seed round

Cyber risk posture management firm Zeron has raised $500,000 in seed round from  Varanium Capital, a fintech-focused fund along with Yatra Angel Network .  

According to Zeron, the funds will be used towards research and development initiatives and expanding its global presence.  

Earlier this year, the startup raised funding from early-stage investors 100X.VC along with angel investors like Anoop Mathur (AM Capital), and K.R.S. Jamwal (Tata Industries).  

Founded by Sanket Sarkar, Zeron offers solutions for organizations aiming to secure their cyberspace. It uses artificial intelligence (AI) to ensure clients make well-informed decisions, effectively countering the cybersecurity challenges.  

Its client portfolio includes Affin Bank, NTUC, Aditya Birla Capital, and Bank Open among others. Currently, it has a presence across countries like Indonesia, Canada, Singapore, the UK, the Philippines. 

In May, cybersecurity startup SquareX raised $6 million in a seed round led by Peak XV Partners. 

Lead investor Varanium NexGen invests in fintech startups with early revenues. It has previously invested in fintechs like EaseBuzz, Riskcovry, GetVantage, Homeville, DataSutram, and FinVu.
