Ambulance service provider DIAL 4242 has raised Rs 1 crore in its seed round led by investors G Vamshi Raju, Starfish Ventures, and a clutch of angel investors based in Hyderabad.
The proceeds will be used in expanding its presence and enhancing its services, the company said in a press release.
Founded by Jeetu Lalwanim, DIAL4242 is an online platform for booking ambulances in case of an emergency. The Mumbai-based startup claims to have a network, spanning over 750 cities and a fleet of 12,000 ambulances to ensure emergency medical services within a record time of 15 minutes.
The firm has recently partnered with brands including Swiggy and Zomato, and supported their delivery partners with ambulances. It is also doing Mobile medical unit (MMU) support for other clients.
DIAL 4242 competes with the likes of MeduLance, HelpNow, ESahai, AmbiPalm and Mo Ambulance among others in the ambulance booking segment. In January 2022, ambulance startup StanPlus raised $20 million in its Series A round led by Healthquad, Kalaari Capital, and HealthX Singapore. Earlier this year, the Hyderabad-based startup rebranded to RED.Health and forayed into air ambulance service.
