Edtech focused fintech startup GradRight has raised Rs 50 crore in a Series A round from IvyCap Ventures.
The funds will be used to transform college selection and financing for students, GradRight said in a press release.
Founded in 2019 by Aman Singh and Sasidhar Sista, GradRight brings together prospective students, universities, and lenders on a single platform. By its technology, data science, and community, the firm empowers students to make informed decisions on high-return programs, enables universities to identify and admit the most suitable students, and facilitates banks in financing the dreams of high-potential students.
The platform eliminates intermediaries, fosters global organization in the higher education sector, and promotes transparency and accountability.
Over the past two years, GradRight's platform claims to have processed loan requests of over $1.75 billion (Rs 14,300 crore) and assisted more than 55,000 students. The platform boasts partnerships with 15 lenders and over 50 international academic institutions in the US, Canada, and Europe, offering students a choice of 13,100 programs across 1,000 universities.
