Kerala-based banana chips brand Beyond Snack has raised $3.5 million in a pre-Series A round from NABVENTURES Fund.

Kerala-based banana chips brand Beyond Snack has raised $3.5 million in a pre-Series A round from NABVENTURES Fund. 

The funds will be used in expanding the company's distribution network, supply chain capabilities and R&D, Beyond Snack said in a press release.

Founded by Manas Madhu, Jyoti Rajguru and Gautam Raghuraman, Beyond Snack is a plant-based savoury snacks brand that produces its banana chips with no artificial colors or flavors.

Beyond Snack claims to have expanded its retail presence in Maharashtra and established an online footprint across significant marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, BigBasket, Blinkit, Swiggy, and Zepto, enabling nationwide accessibility. 

Beyond Snack got initial investment from 100X VC and other notable angel investors and angel networks like Faad Network. The brand plans to expand its presence across 10 states and 25 cities in the coming year. 

Backed by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), NABVENTURES invests in food, agritech, and rural fintech. The fund has invested Rs 258 crore in 12 startups including Jai Kisan, Unnati, Satyukt, KBCols, Vilcart, Beyond Snack, TenderCuts, KrishiTantra, TraceX, and Eggoz.
