Drone manufacturer InsideFPV has raised Rs 2.75 crores in a seed round led by Inflection Point Ventures.
According to InsideFPV, the funds will be used for product development, marketing and research.
Founded by Arth Chowdhary and Deyvant Bhardwaj, InsideFPV offers cost-effective products that are specifically designed to be resistant to crashes, ensuring durability and longevity of drones for their customers.
Drones are majorly used in the commercial, military and agricultural applications and they are an expensive device to own. InsideFPV aims to bridge this gap by offering one of its kind Plug and Fly FPV (First Person View) feature drones to the consumers at an affordable price point.
The startup was also featured in Shark Tank India and has been recognised by the Government of India as a startup under the Robotics Industry by Startup India.
Drone startups have been doing good amid funding winter. Last month, ideaForge, one of the top funded startups in this space, was listed on the stock exchange. Aereo (formerly Aarav Unmanned Systems) and Omnipresent Robot and Garuda Aerospace are also considering going IPO in the next couple of years. Backed by former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Garuda raised $22 million in a Series A round in February this year. Recently, agricultural solution provider Coromandel International Limited announced the acquisition of Dhaksha, a manufacturer of petrol engine-based drones designed for agriculture spraying applications.
