Blitz (previously Grow Simplee), a same-day delivery platform for omnichannel sellers, has raised $3 million in its seed round from India Quotient, Better Capital, First Cheque, and Titan Capital. Other angels like Farid Ahsan, Abhinav Jain, Rahul Dash, Kunal Shah, Prabhkirandeep Singh and Ishendra Agarwal also participated in the round.
The funds will be used to enhance technology infrastructure and expand the network of dark stores, the company said in a press release.
Started two years ago by Gaurav Piyush, Yash Sharma and Mayank Varshney, Blitz enables faster delivery for sellers at efficient costs. Offers same-day delivery for all orders placed before 3 pm.
Sellers can predict and store inventory near their customers in Blitz’s dark stores, offer 4-hour delivery to buyers, and fulfill all orders on the same day.
Launched by Anand Lunia and Madhukar Sinha in 2012, India Quotient’s first fund was $6 million in size while the next two had a corpus of $20 million and $60 million, respectively. Its portfolio companies include WebEngage, Dhiwise, Vyapar, Pagarbook, Fleetx, Powerplay, Brands.live and GoComet among others.
