Volt Money raises $1.5 Mn in pre-seed round

Volt Money, a platform for instant secured loans against mutual funds, has raised $1.5 million in a pre-seed round led by Titan Capital and All In Capital.

Individuals including Praveen Jadhav of Raise Ventures, Aditi Kothari of DSP Adiko Holdings, Gemba Capital, Kunal Shah of Cred, and Ashish Kehair and Rahul Jain from Nuvama Wealth also participate in the round.

The funding will be strategically used to recruit key personnel for product development and to establish beneficial partnerships, Volt Money said in a press release.

Led by Lalit Bihani, Ankit Agarwal and Bharat Lamba, Volt Money collaborates with lenders and distribution partners to offer customers hassle-free, instant secured loans with favorable terms. It has boarded Bajaj Finserv Limited to launch the end-to-end process. 

The firm claims to have served customers across more than 80 cities with loans ranging from Rs 25,000 to Rs 2 crore.

VC fund Titan Capital has invested in over 200 companies across consumer internet, direct to consumer brands, SaaS, and Fintech. Its portfolio companies include Mamaearth, OfBusiness, DealShare, Ola, Snapdeal, Razorpay and Urban Company among others.
