Digital health startup Mykare Health has secured $2.01 million in a seed funding round which saw participation of investors such as OnDeck ODX, Avaana Seed, Huddle, Endurance Capital, F Health, VeritasX, Stanford Angels, and individuals such as Ajit Mohan (founding CEO Hotstar & Former MD Meta India), Ankit Tandon (Global CBO and CEO, OYO), Nikhil Jaisinghani, Dr Deepu Sebin, Vikas Garg, Rahul Nagar, Himanshu Arora, and Bhavya Shah.
The company plans to use the funds towards elevating the overall patient experience and bolstering talent acquisition efforts, Mykare Health said in a press release.
Co-founded in 2021 by Senu Sam, Rahmatulla TM, and Joash Philipose, Mykare Health empowers patients and their families through an integrated ecosystem. The startup takes care of every aspect, starting from selecting an appropriate facility and ensuring transparent pricing to managing paperwork, coordinating insurance, providing transportation services, facilitating communication with doctors to understand their procedures, coordinating hospital admission and discharge, and the post-care support. According to Mykare, its trained and experienced counsellors are available on site to handhold patients to overcome the fright related to lack of funds and transparency, and make their healthcare journey seamless.
Mykare Health also offers a breakthrough proposition for small and medium-sized hospitals, with an aim to eliminate the underutilisation of their infrastructure and the skills of the doctors working in these facilities.
Mykare Health claims that in the last one year, it has touched the lives of more than 85,000 patients and has become operational in over 12 indian cities with more than 200 hospital ties ups.
