Edtech startup Toprankers has acquired New Delhi based career guidance platform ProBano. The company did not disclose the transaction details.
ProBano is a career guidance platform for high school students aged 13-18 in India that facilitates students to make informed career choices and develop the necessary skills to achieve their career goals. The company said that it has a proven track record of delivering valuable guidance and counselling to over 30,000 students across 24 states.
As a part of the deal, Toprankers will be integrating ProBano’s CEO Aditya Bose, and his team of proficient career guides and project managers into its existing team. With the inclusion of ProBano’s expertise in career guidance and counselling, Toprankers is designing a career discovery and experience platform that will enable high school students to explore their passions and offer skill-building opportunities across diverse career domains.
According to Toprankers, leveraging such comprehensive and avant-grade solutions, it is committed to addressing the underlying problems of unemployment and job dissatisfaction in the country. The platform will be harnessing ProBano’s expertise in implementing Career Discovery and Experience programs with high school students associated with NGOs, CSRbinitiatives, and affordable private schools.
Founded in 2016 by Gaurav Goel, Karan Mehta, and Harsh Gagrani, Toprankers had scooped up $4 million led by Sixth Sense Ventures in June 2022.
