Drone technology solutions startup Indrones has secured an investment of Rs 7 crore led by MapMyIndia.
The company plans to utilise the raised funds to improve its products and offerings further and help the company develop digital solutions in the drone sector at par with global standards, Indrones said in a press release.
Founded in 2015 by Pravin Prajapati, Indrones is a drone as a service (DaaS) provider and commercial grade drone manufacturer in India. The company specialises in providing end-to-end solutions using drones, ranging from global industry-standard drone data acquisition to data processing and delivering detailed insights for actionable intelligence.
Indrones specialises in manufacturing drones for a variety of use cases and providing drone-based solutions for verticals like smart cities, government, construction, oil & gas, agriculture, etc, and has developed technologies that allow for highly efficient and cost-effective data collection, data processing, and analytics.
MapMyIndia is a leading deep-tech digital maps-based products, platforms, and solutions company since 1995, and claims to serve more than 2000 leading enterprise customers across all industry verticals in the private and public sector, and will now be able to offer customers industry-leading drones and drone-based solutions. According to the company, its consumer-facing Mappls app will offer more high-definition and 3D maps, based on drone-collected data, offering unparalleled, immersive and metaverse experiences to users of the app.
