Automated ethical hacking platform FireCompass has raised $7 million in a new round led by Silicon Valley-based Cervin and Athera Venture Partners (previously Inventus Capital) along with existing backer BIF (Bharat Innovation Fund).
According to FireCompass, the funds will be used to expand its operations across India, US and other international markets and also to bring on new talent.
Founded in 2019 by Bikash Barai and Priyanka Aash, FireCompass helps enterprises from data breaches by continuously scanning the deep, dark and surface webs using AI-tools. It also provides a solution for cybersecurity preparedness such as breach preparedness and cybersecurity maturity.
In 2020, the Bengaluru and Boston-based startup had raised $1.89 million in a seed funding round from Bharat Innovation Fund and Sansar Capital.
FireCompass counts firms such as Sprint (which is now a part of T-Mobile), Security Innovation, Nykaa, Manthan and Larsen and Turbo as part of its client portfolio.
