PrimeOS raises $1 Mn in seed round

PrimeOS, an android-based operating system for laptops, has raised $1 million in its seed round led by Kundan Group, Brindavan Group, and Infotel Business Solution. 

Following this, the Delhi-based startup has also given exits to its investors at a 3-folds valuation in its latest funding round.

 Founded in 2017 by Chitranshu Mahant, Aman Verma, PrimeOS is an android-based operating system for laptops designed for digital education. The startup has launched an ARM-based laptop Primebook, and further plans to License PrimeOS to other international OEMs. According to the company, it offers higher performance at an affordable cost because of its unique combination of ARM chipset and PrimeOS. 

The firm claims that Primebook is also more productive for education than any Windows laptop as the edtech ecosystem is Android first.

The startup claims to have over three million organic downloads from 140 countries.
