Wellbeing Nutrition (Nutritionalab Pvt. Ltd.), a D2C nutrition company, has raised $10 million in a Series B round led by Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) and Fireside Ventures.
Having over 3,000 stores across India, Wellbeing plans to expand the product categories, build a senior management team, strengthen its expert channel network, and strengthen R&D with the freshly raised capital.
Founded by Avnish Chhabria, Wellbeing Nutrition is a whole-food nutrition company that uses plant-based ingredients to deliver wellness-focused productions to individuals. The company offers products related to daily wellness, sleep, headaches, gut health, hair loss and skin care.
Its product range includes melts (oral thin strips), slow (slow-release 2-in-1 capsules with beadlet in oil technology), Korean marine collagen peptides for beauty, daily fiber for digestion, and vegan protein for fitness and everyday health.
Last week, Hindustan Unilever Limited acquired a majority stake in D2C nutrition brand OZiva via a strategic investment. Like Wellbeing Nutrition, the six-year-old firm provides plant-based nutrition products with a portfolio across categories such as women’s health, skin, hair, men’s health, and general wellness.
The Mumbai-based company also provides its customers with access to personalized diet and fitness consultations, nutritional and fitness content, and community-based events through its technology platform.
