Funding and acquisitions in Indian startups this week [07-12 Nov]

This week, 26 Indian startups raised funding of which 22 received a total of about $216 Mn. Klove Dental and Keka were the top fundraisers.

This week, 26 Indian startups raised funding of which 22 received a total of about $216 million. Klove Dental and Keka were the top fundraisers which scooped up $67 million and $57 million respectively. Last week, 24 homegrown startups raised funding worth about $455.2 million

Meanwhile, the details of four of the total funded startups remained undisclosed. 

Growth/late-stage deals 

This week three growth-late-stage startups raised funding. The list includes Clove Dental’s $67 million round, Masaai School and Iba Cosmetics among others. Cloud-based media SaaS technology company Amagi officially announced its $100 million-plus round, however, it was already added in last week's round-up.

Early-stage deals 

In the early stage, 23 startups have raised funds including four undisclosed rounds. Hr tech startup Keka was on top of the list with a $57 million Series A round. The list also includes healthtech startup Even, SilverEdge, Supertails, Rivaara Labs, and CureBay among others.

Undisclosed deals    

Symbio Generrics, CreditTech, QubeHealth and Kneady did not disclose their financial details.   

City and segment-wise deals    

This week, Bengaluru-based startups were on top in terms of the number of startup deals and the amount raised by them. According to Fintrackr’s data, 13 Bengaluru-based startups have raised funds this week amounting to $44.33 million or 20.56% of the total raise. During the week, Delhi-NCR-based startups raised $82 million across four deals.

Healthtech startups were the top segment in terms of the number of deals as startups in this space raised $28.2 million across four deals. Fintech, SaaS, HRtech, gaming, and edtech startups were next on the list. 

Fund launch

Apart from fundraisings, this week also saw three startup-focused fund launch announcements. The list includes Pi Ventures’ fund worth $8 million, Quona Capital’s $332 million fund, and Z21 Venture’s $5 million fund.
