Home interior materials platform Mistry.Store has raised $2 million in its seed round led by Omidyar Network India. Waveform VC and Bharat Founders Fund along with Maninder Gulati, Vasant Sridhar others also participated in the round. 

Mistry.Store will use proceeds to change home-building material purchases through its tech enabled solution for home interior professionals and individuals.

Founded by Vaibhav Poddar and Bhanu Mahajan in 2022, Mistry.Store simplifies building material purchases like wood, plumbing, paints, hardware, electricals, for homeowners. It  primarily connects architects, interior decorators, and contractors with home owners across Delhi (NCR) region.

The Gurugram-based company competes with Rootefy which raised Rs 1.2 crore as seed funding from Abhinav Gupta in May and Kolo. During the same month, Kolo also cornered $4 million led by RTP Global. Other players in the segment include Hippo Stores, IBO Mart,  and Depo24.

Omidyar Network India focuses on early stage enterprises and provides grants to nonprofits in the areas of digital society, education, emerging tech, financial inclusion, cities & innovation and property inclusivity. Its portfolio companies include Bounce, 1MG, DrinkPrime, DoubtNut, Otipy, Presolv360, DealShare and Vedantu among others.
