Flickstree, a content and marketing technology startup, has raised $5 million in its pre-Series B round led by Venture Catalysts Group.
It is also backed by Samsung Ventures, Orbit Startups (SOSV), LionRock Capital, FULD & Co., Lets Venture, AB Claymore, Angelbay, amongst others.
The Mumbai-based startup will use the funds for global expansion, along with strengthening its product and technology, it said in a press release.
Started by Saurabh Singh, Rahul Jain and Nagendra Sandra, Flickstree creates content for video commerce and drives transactions for their brand partners. The platform uses AI in voiceover and script to auto-generate branded video content. It claims to cater to over 200 brands worldwide, driving transactions over $50 million annually with an active user base of 25 million on its platform.
FlicksTree is yet to disclose its financials for FY22, but its revenue from operations grew 3.5X to Rs 8.8 crore in FY21 from Rs 2.5 crore in FY20. As per its annual financial statement with the RoC, losses of the firm remained flat with Rs 4.6 crore in the fiscal year ending March 2021.
Flickstree currently has an active client base in India, Middle East, South-East Asia, UK, Australia and USA.
