Ronnie Screwala-led upGrad has acquired recruitment and staffing firm Wolves India (via its subsidiary UpGrad Rekrut) for an undisclosed sum. This would be the 11th acquisition by the Mumbai-based firm in past few years.
Wolves India specialises in placing high-quality tech talent across startups, along with mid and large-sized organisations in India and overseas. The Bengaluru-based company will continue to operate as a separate entity after the acquisition, said upGrad in a release.
According to Wolves, it addresses complex hiring challenges across the aerospace segment through its proprietary product called 'Quasara'.
Since January 2020, upGrad has acquired nine startups including Gate Academy, Impartus, KnowledgeHut, Global Study Partners, Talentedge, INSOFE among others.
upGrad entered unicorn club with a $1.2 billion valuation in August last year. Last month, it reportedely raised $225 million more at a valuation of $2.25 billion.
