Biotech startup String Bio has raised $20 million in its Series B round led by Woodside Technologies Pty Ltd. New and existing investors such as Ankur Capital, Dare Ventures, Redstart, Zenfold Ventures, and others have also participated in the round.

Through this investment, Vinod kumar and Ezhil Subbain-led String Bio will build its ability to potentially abate greenhouse gases through the conversion of carbon into useful products.

The Bengaluru-based startup will strengthen its decarbonization impact by current investment and collaboration.

String Bio is a technology platform that leverages advances in Biology, fermentation technology, Chemistry and process engineering to convert the energy in methane into diverse value added products. The company enables products ranging from protein ingredients for nutrition, to innonate crop inputs, to products for biodegradable polymers.
