Organic farming startup Humpy Farms has raised Rs 5 crore in a funding round from Lenskart's Peyush Bansal, MamaEarth's Ghazal Alagh, Shailesh Ligade of DBS Bank, Abhay Amrute of IIFL, Prattyush Shahane of Bain & Company, Yogesh Lahoti and Anushka Iyer of Wiggles.in.
The funds raised, which also include money from the TV reality show Shark Tank India, will be deployed to scale up the business and take its products across the country, said the company in a release.
Founded by Malvika Gaekwad and Jaywant Patil in 2016, Humpy Farms is a D2C startup that has a range of dairy and non-dairy products. As per the company, its flagship product Humpy A2 Milk is currently available in Pune and will soon become available for consumers across India whereas its range of organic products includes milk products, cold press oils, rice and flours, seeds, dals and millets, spices and masalas and salts.
The products are currently available across India and can be purchased online via the company’s app, website and select e-commerce platforms.
