Premium tea brand TeaMonk has raised Rs. 3.5 crore in a pre-Series A round led by Inflection Point Ventures. The funds raised will be utilised for domestic penetration and exploring uncharted territories in international markets, it said in a press release.
Launched in April 2017 by Amit Mittal and Ashok Dutta, TeaMonk offers more than 50 variants of premium tea.
The brand has built its business around fresh teas sourced from top tea gardens in India and has built a robust supply chain to ensure the shortest go-to-market time to preserve the freshness of the tea leaves.
The Bengaluru-based startup is currently distributing in countries such as the US, UK, UAE, Canada, Germany, Australia and India and establishing a remarkable imprint in the global speciality tea market.
TeaMonk is backed by former Unilever senior professionals. The company's investors also include marquee angels like Roots Ventures, Hunch Ventures, Suresh Prabhala, Rajat Gupta, Dr Madhu Mohan, Piyush Pandey, Sanjay Khosla, Raj Makkam, Jai Gupta, and Lead Angels.
