Software as a service (SaaS) startup Postman plans to invest Rs 2 crore to open an application programming interface (API) Lab at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (BITS Pilani) to promote API literacy amongst students and aspiring developers.
Postman’s ongoing partnership with BITS Pilani also includes a classroom programme designed to train and support educators incorporating APIs into their curriculum.
The new API Lab at BITS Pilani will give a space for students to explore this developing technology as part of Postman’s student programme effort, which is meant to encourage API literacy among students and educators. APIs enable interactions between apps as well as functionalities within apps.
