Logistics aggregator platform Shiprocket has acquired Rocketbox, a B2B logistics aggregator platform for an undisclosed amount.

With this acquisition, the Rocketbox founders will join the Shiprocket leadership team and continue to build the cargo product as part of this deal. Shiprocket will enhance its existing infrastructure and provide a best-in-class B2B shipping experience for its customers, it said in a press release.

Rocketbox, which is now Rocketbox by Shiprocket, launched in June 2015 by Hasan Kumar A, Pooja Bhatt, Raghav Singhania, Ramana Venkat and Vinod Kumar Reddy Gandra, it began as an intra-city on-demand truck provider and aggregated with over 5,000 drivers on its platform.

Post a Series A funding round from Delhivery and expansion of operations, Rocketbox launched its application suite catering to vendor payment, client billing, fleet management, client dashboard, driver app, etc.

Last month, Shiprocket had raised $185 million in a Series E round co-led by Zomato, Temasek and Lightrock India. The New Delhi-based platform connects merchants, consumers and supply chain partners across 27,000 pin codes in India and 220 overseas countries.
