Ed-Tech firm WeSkill has raised over $400k as a part of its pre-seed round from angels including Shrishti Sahu, Umang Vohra, Arpan Sheth, Nikhil Srivastava, Renu Satti, Narendra Rathi , Raj Shastri, Sayan Ghosh, Mayank Gupta , Aditya Pittie and Rajesh Razdan among others.
The platform will utilize the funding to advance its product offerings, explore new channels for growth and build a team.
Founded by Shaurya Joshi, Shashank Patidar, and Praneet Agarwal, in November 2020, WeSkill is an online platform that enables live and interactive extracurricular learning for children between the ages of 4-14 years by offering an engaging, informative and gamified experience for children.
The Gurgaon-based startup claims to have a month-on-month retention rate of 80%, spread across 800 Indian cities and has signed more than 40k parents in its application. The company plans to build a community of more than 5 million learners and launch new course categories by December 2024.
