Popular bus booking platform redBus has expanded its services to rail ticketing, in collaboration with IRCTC and with the brand name redRail.
The feature is currently available on the redBus android app and soon to be launched in other platforms as well.
Founded in 2006 by Phanindra Sama, Sudhakar Pasupunuri and Charan Padmaraju, the platform has catered its services to 36 million customers, 3,500 bus operators across 6 countries including Colombia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Peru and Singapore.
The startup was acquired by ibibo Group in 2013 for $138 million.
