Jet Media Network, a data-driven digital publishing company, has closed a $2.5 million seed round led by Los Angeles Media Fund and joined by investors including 10X Capital, Gaingels, JetSynthesys, Spivy Private Capital and Equinox Systems.
The announcement came prior to the company's first mobile app launch in collaboration with Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho.
The company plans to create the ultimate direct-to-fan (DTF) experience by offering exclusive content, auctions, social commerce, NFT featuring high profile athletes, celebrities, musicians, actors, gamers, influencers, public figures and more.
After leaving Sony Jesper Schertiger, the company's current CEO, partnered with Rajan Navani, Founder and CEO of JetSynthesys and co-founded the firm with Robin Shelley, top-flight footballer and Robbie Earle, current co-host of Premier League for NBC.
According to Jesper, the investment is a demonstration of the brand ownership mindset of new age celebrities and the trust of investors in the company's technology, strategy and leadership.
