Edtech startup Orphicy bags Rs 2.5 Cr from NRI techies

Orphicy, an edtech startup, has raised Rs 2.5 crore or $331K from NRI tech enthusiasts presently working in leadership positions at Facebook, McKinsey, at a valuation of Rs 25 crore. IMS Learning Resources also picked up 1% stake in the company.

The first round of funding will be utilised to strengthen their marketing initiatives, adding innovative technology-enabled interfaces and include newer modules to the curriculum, said Orphicy in a press release.

Founded by Vipul Tyagi, Orphicy offers education modules using visualisation methods, live interactions, analytics, and psychometric analysis to achieve the desired results. They also provide dedicated career guidance to each student.

Incorporated in September 2020, the Ahmedabad-based bootstrapped startup was started with an initial fund of Rs.2 crores pooled by the founders.
