Tamasha, a social gaming app, has raised $3 million in its pre-Series A round led by Chiratae Ventures.
9Unicorns, Good Capital, Founderbank Capital, FirstCheque, PointOne Capital, Ice.vc, Nitish Mittersain, Siddharth , Navkiran Singh, Harsh Shah and Ramakant Sharma have also participated.
According to Tamasha, the fresh capital will be used to ramp up product development, expand game offerings, scale the creator ecosystem, and strengthen the team with high-quality talent.
Founded by Saurabh Gupta and Siddharth Swarnkar, Tamasha is building the gaming metaverse, where creators can engage communities through live social games and instantly monetise their engagement.
The startup claims that it has grown 30-folds in the last six months, with over two million gameplays on the platform.
Earlier in November 2020, Tamasha had raised a seed funding of Rs 2.5 crore from 9Unicorns, Titan Capital (Led by Snapdeal founders Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal, First Cheque and Point One Capital along with other angels.
