100ms, a video infrastructure platform, has raised $4.5 million in its seed round led by Accel with participation from Strive.vc.
The proceeds will be used to build the engineering team and for product enhancement, also to scale its headcount from 35 to 75 by April-June 2022, said 100ms in a press release.
The Bengaluru-based startup will also open offices in Seattle and San Francisco.
Floated by Gupta, Aniket Behera, and Sarvesh Dwivedi, 100ms offers a suite of software development kits that allow developers to incorporate audio and video capabilities into their apps and websites. The founding team built live video infrastructure at Facebook and Disney.
100ms said it has operated in beta for a long period and that they launched fully customisable software development kits that allow developers to add Zoom-quality video to their apps in hours, instead of months.
The startup counts Paytm Insider, BookMyShow, Townscript and Circle among its clients.
