Ayu Health, a healthtech startup with a network of hospitals, has raised $6.3 million in its Series A round led by Vertex Ventures and Stellaris Venture Partners. Marquee angel investors such as Varun Alagh of Mamaearth, Ashish Gupta of Helion and Rajat Goel of EyeQ Hospitals have also joined the round.

According to the Bengaluru-based startup, the proceeds will be used to expand its hospital network and technology solutions.

Founded by Himesh Joshi, Arijit Gupta and Karan Gupta, Ayu Health acquires speciality hospitals and rebrands them to create a network of hospitals. Currently, the firm has about 20 hospitals across Chandigarh and Bengaluru-accredited by National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH).

The startup aims to ramp up its business ten-folds in FY22 and expand its bed capacity to over 5,000 beds across six cities by December 2022.

Recently, Stellaris Venture Partners had  backed sales-tech SaaS startup GTM Buddy in its seed round.
