Healthcare startup Hexahealth has raised Rs 33 crore or $4.5 million in its seed round led by impact investor Omidyar Network and Chiratae Ventures. 3one4 Capital and a clutch of healthcare professionals such as Viren Shetty, Rohit MA and Rehan Khan have also participated in the round.
According to the Gurugram-based startup, the proceeds will be used to build a network of hospitals and further build its digital platform.
Founded by former 1MG co-founders Vikas Chauhan and Ankur Gigras, Dr Aman Priya Khanna, Hexahealth provides a full-stack solution to surgery care. It provides consultation from the right hospital, affordable surgeon, insurance paperwork, when a patient chooses to go for surgery and post-surgery.
According to Hexa, over two crore surgeries are performed annually in India, yet the number of people trusting the healthcare system is decreasing due to lack of information. The startup aims to address customer’s needs, by providing patients with consultation for surgeries.
