ApnaKlub, a B2B wholesale platform for fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), has scooped up $3.5 million in its seed round of funding led by Sequoia Capital India’s Surge. With this, the total funds raised by the company stands at $5 million.
Blume Ventures and Whiteboard Capital had led an undisclosed pre-Series A round in the Bengaluru-based startup which was also selected in the fifth cohort of Sequoia’s accelerator program Surge.
Founded by Manish Kumar and Shruti, ApnaKlub connects retailers in semi-urban and rural areas to a range of consumer goods and brands via its network of wholesale partners. It also enables last-mile logistics services.
The firm claims to have over 5,000 trained wholesale partners who earn a commission on every order. Besides Udaan and Jumbotail, the company competes with ShopKirana, Gurugram-based GramFactory among a few others.
