Advanced battery tech startup Log 9 Materials has raised $8.5 million in a round led by Amara Raja Batteries. Existing backers Exfinity Ventures and Sequoia Capital India’s Surge and a clutch of new investors also participated in the Series A+ funding round

The company has entered into an equity partnership and collaboration with Amara Raja Batteries Ltd (ARBL), a leading manufacturer of industrial and automotive batteries, Log 9 Materials said in a press release.

The Bengaluru-based company will use the fresh funds to expand its production capacity and business development of Log 9’s Rapid Charging Battery technology. 

Founded in 2015, Log9 focuses on Graphene Nanotechnology for B2B and B2C clients. The company which is also a part of the second batch of Sequoia’s Surge had previously raised Rs 3 crore in 2018.
