Agritech startup Faarms has raised $2 million in its seed round of funding led by Koh Boon Hwee and Dr Cornelius Boersch with the participation of angel investors.
The fundraise will be used to add new products and services, to expand in the North-Eastern, Central and Southern states, said the company in a press release.
Founded by Taranbir Singh, Faarms provides agricultural products online like seeds, fertilizers, cattle feed and others delivered to the farmer’s doorstep.
The platform claims to have over 800,000 subscribers and delivers to 200 pin codes. In the last five years, India’s agritech startups have been mushrooming in the space like never before, building farmer platforms, B2B agri marketplaces, rural fintech enterprises, farm-to-fork brands among others.
