Healthcare platform Eka.Care has raised $4.5 million in its seed round of funding from a clutch of angels and early-stage investors. The angel lists include founders and co-founders of MakeMyTrip, Cred, INDMoney, 314eCorporation, Udaan, Unacademy, Razorpay, redBus, Terra.do, Tracxn, and Haptik among others.

Early-stage investors such as 3one4Capital, Eximius Ventures, and Speciale Invest have also participated in the round.

According to the Eka.Care, the fresh proceeds will be used for hiring, product development, marketing and assisting doctors in setting up their digital clinic.

Founded by former Goibibo co-founder Vikalp Sahni, the startup offers features like appointment management, hassle-free communication between doctors and patients, AI-driven digital prescriptions, integrated payments, and teleconsultation solutions.

Available in 12 languages, the startup claims to have over 250 doctors onboarded, of which 100 are serving COVID-19 patients. In June 2021, Eka.Care went live with CoWIN-approved vaccination slot booking to help people get vaccinated.
