Edtech platform AdmitKard raises Rs 10 Cr in pre-Series A

University admissions startup AdmitKard has raised Rs 10 crore in its pre-Series A round of funding led by founders of edtech platforms such as Vedantu, upGrad, Unacademy, DoubtNut, Avanti. Pankaj Chaddah, Suhail Sameer, Dhruv Dhanraj Bahl, Vijay Arisetty and other investors have also participated.

Started by Piyush Bhartiya and Rachit Agrawal, the startup helps students apply to more than 1,000 universities and colleges in countries including US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

The four-year-old startup claims to have served students from 26 states in India and from other countries, including Sri Lanka, Nepal, Afghanistan, Nigeria, and Vietnam.

The fresh round takes the total capital raised by AdmitKard to date to $2.3 million. Earlier in August 2019, it had raised $1 million in the first tranche of its pre-Series A round.
