Funding in Indian startups this week (21 Sep-26 Sep)

This week 12 Indian startups raised funding, of which 9 received a total sum of about $118 million. Among them, ShareChat raised the highest funding of about $40 million followed by Hopscotch, which raised $25 million.

Meanwhile, funding for 3 of the total funded startups remained undisclosed.

Below is the summary of deals closed this week

ShareChat: Vernacular social media platform ShareChat has closed its $40 million pre-Series E round led by existing investors Lightspeed India and SAIF Partners.

Hopscotch: Online kids’ fashion brand Hopscotch has raised $25 million in what appears to be Series D round from Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin’s investment arm EE Capital, Lionrock Capital, Rise Capital, RPG Ventures and IIFL Seed Ventures Fund.

Servify: Personal device management and after-sale services for electronic gadgets company Servify has secured $23 million in the Series C funding round led by existing backer Iron Pillar.

Onsitego: After-sales services firm Onsitego has raised around $11 million as a part of its extended Series B funding round from International Finance Corporation or IFC.

i3 Systems: Insurance-technology startup, i3 Systems has raised $1.5 million in a pre-Series A funding round from Unitus Ventures and others.

Rephrase.ai: Media production platform Rephrase.ai has raised $1.5 million in a seed round led by Lightspeed Ventures and AV8 Ventures.

BestDoc: SaaS-based patient relationship management startup BestDoc has raised $2.2 million in pre-Series A round from Accel, Arkam Ventures and others.

Melorra: e-jeweller Melorra has raised $12.5 million in a funding round led by Symphony Asia with participation from Lightbox Ventures and Alteria Capital.

GenieTalk: conversational artificial intelligence startup, GenieTalk has raised $0.75 million in angel funding from Shankeshwar Technologies LLP.
