SaaS-based global image processing startup Terraview has raked in Rs 5.8 crore in a Series A round led by Flipkart’s co-founder Binny Bansal and CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy, Udaan co-founder Sujeet Kumar, and Tanglin Venture Partners.

The round also witnessed the participation from Curefit co-founder Ankit Nagori and Dineout CEO Abhishek Sharma.

Terraview primarily uses image processing, machine learning, augmented reality and artificial intelligence to analyze vineyards. It deploys drones to collect images and processes it using their proprietary algorithm helping vineyards to plan according to weather changes, act on soil moisture, tackle bacterial infection, and solve for pest onslaught on their plantation.

The startup will utilize the fresh capital to go deep in solving complex problems of fungal disease, soil hydration, bacterial infection, canopy cover, and weather assessment using proprietary technology.

Besides, the Prateek Srivastava led startup is looking to file patents for new technologies they are building, with the fresh funds.

Founded in 2019, the firm started its journey from Spain, and now it plans to enter France and Italy soon. It has teams working across Zurich, Madrid, Moscow, Toronto and Florida.
