Internet company Info Edge India Limited, which operates online job platform Naukri.com and the matrimonial website jeevansathi.com posted net sales of Rs 312.7 crore for Q1 FY 20, signalling a hike of 20.5% from Q1 FY2018.
The Noida based company also posted a total income of Rs 337.3 crore for the June quarter with revenue from operations making up almost 98% of the total income generated, which also saw a growth of 19.01% compared to the corresponding quarter last year.
Talking about the quarterly results, company CFO Chintan Thakkar said: “We witnessed yet another robust quarterly performance with the key matrices such as billing, revenue, total income and operating EBITDA growth touching about 20% on YoY basis.”
The company went public in April 2006, and its share hovers around Rs 2,150 per share(BSE), and it reported an annual profit of Rs 281.7 crore for the year ended in March 2019.
Apart from Naukri.com, InfoEdge also runs the online real estate portal 99 acres.com and higher education platform Shiksha.com, which helps students and colleges to connect and even provides resources for education abroad.
Info edge employs over 4.400 people worldwide and has also ventured into the middle eastern market with its gulf focussed job portal www.naukrigulf.com and currently has offices Dubai, Bahrain, Riyadh and Abu Dhabi.
The company also owns an offline executive search business, Quadrangle and provides recruiting services to corporates
Info Edge has been diversifying its portfolio by investing in a varied range of companies and each of these companies is managed by their own respective leadership with only inputs from Info Edge.
Some of these companies include Zomato, PolicyBazaar, Canvera.com, and happilyunmarried.com.
