Powering through its expansion plans OYO has been foraying into several products and countries at light speed.
Entrackr has exclusively been reporting the developments around OYO’s plans to enter into co-working space. It had acquired Innov8 in January, and started the drill on its ‘Powerstation’ - the co-working offices last month.
The official announcement regarding the launch of Powerstation has finally been made
“Today, we're launching Powerstation -- fully-managed workspaces equipped with all the amenities and services you need to make every moment work. Whether you're an entrepreneur, a small to medium-sized startup or a big organisation, find your ideal working environment at Powerstation,” says the LinkedIn post on the Powerstation India page.
The name of the LinkedIn profile is interesting because it hints at OYO’s plans to launch this product in other countries as well.
Started with a 500 seater property in Pioneer Square, Golf Course Extension Road, Sector 62, Gurugram, the company with this move became a full stack realty product offering als sort of hospitality accommodations.
The offices have hot desks, dedicated desks, private rooms, customized area facilities, and bespoke solutions as well.
Within the year OYO promises to offer the product in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Mumbai as well.
Apart from this OYO had also launched OYO Kitchen, an in house cloud kitchen product that allows the company not only to serve its guests, but is also slated to become a feasible product for people working in the Powerstation.
It would be interesting to see how the Powerstations fare in the market under the guidance of Innov8 team. The competition here is direct with several large co-working spaces like WeWork and Cowrks among others.
