In yet another management restructuring in the Flipkart house, Amar Nagaram, the newly elevated CEO of Myntra-Jabong entity will report to Flipkart fashion head, instead of Group CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy.

Two months ago, Nagaram had been chosen to lead the joint entity of Myntra and Jabong after Ananth Narayanan, the former Myntra CEO had quit the company. A few weeks later, Rishi Vasudev, then senior VP at Flipkart was appointed as the head of Fashion vertical at Flipkart. The vertical, via acquisition, also counted Myntra-Jabong as a part of it.

Earlier both these executives were reporting to Krishnamurthy. However, now, with a new structure in place, Nagaram will be reporting to Vasudev instead.

In another step, the company has chosen the private brand portfolio management head at Myntra, Manohar Kamath, to take over Flipkart’s private brand operations too. He will lead private brands in the Fashion category at a group level in the Bengaluru based company.

Chief People’s Officer at Myntra, Manpreet Ratia, has also taken over an advisory role at the Flipkart group house, and Abhishek Sen has replaced him. Sen was HR and consumer experience head at Myntra-Jabong previously.

These moves reflect Flipkart’s intentions to enhance synergies between the three, rather, two fashion brands in the house.

One of ET’s sources revealed that instead of competing with each other Flipkart Fashion and Myntra-Jabong will now work together to become the largest player in the market and leverage each other’s expertise and resources.

The company itself confirmed the collaboration of Fashion portal in the group companies while still maintaining that the three portal will have independent and separate identities in the market.
