Cashify, an online platform to sell used phones has acquihired Chandigarh-based hyperlocal gadget repairing platform Teksolvr. Following the deal, the core team of Teksolvr will join Cashify’s newly launched phone screen-repair service called ScreenPro.

This is the second strategic deal for the Gurugram-based re-commerce platform. Earlier it had acquihired Bengaluru based Mobibing, a B2C marketplace for overstock, refurbished unboxed gadgets.

Launched in 2017 by Manpreet Singh, Teksolvr offers live screen repair solution to customers and provides doorstep service. Like Teksolvr, ScreenPro also repair a broken screen in quick time (30 mins) at the doorstep and at attractive rates.

ScreenPro claims to serviced more than 1 lakh happy customers across the five cities. The service comes with a 6-month warranty and a 7-day money back promise.

The deal will allow Cashify to scale up their screen repair services ScreenPro to more cities. Currently, it is available in Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, and Mumbai.

Founded in 2013 by Nakul Kumar, Amit Sethi, and Mandeep Manocha, Cashify enables customers to sell their old mobile phones and get instant cash. The startup works with several offline and online channels, including Flipkart and Amazon as their exchange partner.

Besides, it is also the sole partner for OEMs (original equipment manufacturer) such as Xiaomi, OnePlus, and Samsung in India.

Cashify counts Beijing-based alternative asset management firm CDH Investments and VC cum PE firm Morningside Ventures, Shunwei Capital and Bessemer Venture as its prime backers.
